College Basketball Season starts tonight!

CBS Sports Gary Parrish: Gary picks Kentuckuy as a 4 seed in the NCAA Tourney The season starts tonight with four contests featuring four schools projected to make the NCAA tournament against four schools projected to miss the NCAA tournament, which kind of stinks, but whatever. Would I like a CBS-televised matchup of top 10 teams to kick-start things? Of course (even if it had to involve a stupid pregame concert from the stupid Black Eyed Peas). But nobody at CBS has ever asked my opinion, and no one capable of making such an event happen seems all that interested in doing it. So we get what we get. But I'm just glad we're getting something. I can't wait to watch the season's first upset, to see who develops into a superstar overnight, and to feel stupid when some team I've sworn by stumbles in the opening month. Soon as that last thing happens, the inbox will fill with notes from readers telling me I'm terrible at predicting things, and they might be right. But rest assured, that'll never stop me from predicting things. And so with that in mind, let me leave you with a preseason Projecting the Field featuring Duke, Michigan State, Ohio State and Pittsburgh as top seeds.
