** NCAA rules Enes Kanter Ineligible ** UK to appeal decision**

The word is in, the NCAA has ruled Enes ineligible... With the negative news coming out late today it has cast a bit of disappointment on the BBM. However, I'm optimistic, the NCAA is allowing Enes to practice during the appeal process. Strange set of events, Enes was unable to practice before being ruled ineligible but now he can practice. I'm looking for the silver lining. I'm hoping that the NCAA had to rule him ineligible based on the reported $33K that was ruled above living expenses.  Some reports indicate that the Kanter family is prepared to repay the money to the Turkish Basketball Club. This could allow the NCAA to reinstate his amateur status. This may be what UK expected to happen all along.  This ruling may just be part of the process that will open the path for reimbursement and potential reinstatement.  I know I'm grasping at straws, having spent some time around this kid. I was impressed with his attitude, his effort and his family's sacrifices to preserve his amateur status. Time will tell... FREE ENES
