Kentucky freshman forward Terrence Jones was 10 points off his scoring average in Saturday’s victory over Georgia, but coach John Calipari was not complaining—not after the defensive job Jones did against UGa star Trey Thompkins.
Jones had the primary responsibility to guard Thompkins and held him to 2-of-10 shooting from the field and nine points, the first time all season Thompkins did not score in double figures. Jones grabbed seven defensive rebounds, as well.
