TAMPA, Fla. — Serendipity played a key role when West Virginia upset Kentucky in the 2010 NCAA Tournament regional finals. The day before the same programs — if largely not the same players — compete again, UK sounded intent on preventing a replay of such consequential misfortune.
WVU thwarted Kentucky with a 1-3-1 zone last year because Devin Ebanks could not contain UK super freshman John Wall within the Mountaineers' man-to-man defense.
"We didn't plan on playing 1-3-1 as much as we did," West Virginia Coach Bob Huggins said Friday. "But, you know, you're just trying to win."http://www.kentucky.com/2011/03/19/1676508/kentucky-views-west-virginia-as.html#
